Scholarship is the term used to describe any financial aid given to a student. Also note that Scholarship are not given for financial need alone, infect a Scholarship is given to a student who is qualified or to those who want to follow a particular career which he / she may not be able to due to any financial needs. In short a Scholarship is an award of financial aid for a student to en-light his future education. We have given Scholarship to many student in past few year.

Guidelines

Since its inception the scholarship/awards provided as an opportunity for resident of Mahuva and territory to obtain higher education degrees from top Universities in various disciplines including Medical, Engineering, M.C.A, M.B.A etc.

Here is a proposed scheme for Scholarship for student’s higher studies of Mahuva and territory. Shree N.N. Mehta Memorial Educational Trust Mahuva has put forward a scheme to provide scholarship/awards to students who are domicile resident of Mahuva and territory.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This Scholarship Policy is not applicable for student's who are going out of country for higher studies.

Eligibility Criteria

Criteria A

Students from Mahuva / Mahuva Taluka & going out of Mahuva for higher studies

  • Economically poor students
  • Merit scholarship for top rankers

And

Criteria B

Students from Parekh College

  • Physically challenged student
  • Award for Sports and cultural activities

Common Rules For Criteria A & B

  • Student shall pass 12th class in current year only.
  • Student & their parents must be residing in Mahuva / Taluka since minimum of five years.
  • Student shall produce a copy of admission letter given by college/authority.
  • Two recommendation letters of their caste leaders stating that they are economically poor and/or certificate from Taluka magistrate stating economical poor.
  • Farmers shall produce documents of land owned by them.
  • Farmer owning less than 25 Vigha land shall be considered as economically poor class.
  • Villager shall produce recommendation letters of two village leaders.

  • Student should not be getting scholarship from government or any other person/trust/organisation.
  • Numbering shall be done while giving scholarship forms.
  • On last day of submission total numbers of forms shall be informed to scrutiny committee members.
  • Their after no forms will be accepted without approval of management committee.
  • Each student who is asking the scholarship for next year will be eligible only if their performance is satisfactory in last year examination.
  • If any student apply for renewal but got ATKT in one subject we shall consider his/her name for renewal.
  • Scrutiny committee will interview each applicant and verify their economical status and all documents.

Scholarship Criteria Details

Course

BBA / BCA / PGDCA (Parekh college / other self finance college)

Criteria

  • Minimum 60% and above marks in 12th STD.
  • As per their merit, economic condition, and Physical disability.

Scholarship

  • 50% of yearly academic fees or Rs. 20,000 whichever is lower.

Course

Dental, Paramedical, Degree and Diploma Engineering, MCA, MBA, MSc-IT (Government approved self finance college)

Criteria

  • Minimum 60 % and above marks in 12th STD.
  • As per their merit, economic condition, and Physical disability.

Scholarship

  • 50 % of their academic fees or Rs.35,000 whichever is lower.

Course

Medical ( MBBS ) in any self finance college of India (Government approved)

Criteria

  • Minimum 70 % and above marks in 12th STD.
  • As per their merit, economic condition, and Physical disability.

Scholarship

  • 50 % of their education fees or Rs. 40,000 whichever is lower.

Course

Medical ( MBBS ) in any Government college of India

Criteria

  • Minimum 70 % and above marks in 12th STD.
  • As per their merit, economic condition, and Physical disability.

Scholarship

  • 35 % of their education fees or Rs. 25,000 whichever is lower.

Courses Considered for Higher Studies

  • Graduate and Post Graduate: The courses in Medical, Pera Medical, Pharmacy / Homeopathy / Ayurvedic and all engineering courses including computer Engineering.
  • Post Graduate courses after Graduation in Medical, Para Medical, MCA, MBA, Agriculture, M.P.ed, M.ed etc.
  • Students passed out from Diploma Engineering and taken admission into Degree Engineering (D2D).
